Officials moving 365 safety to front burner

Local officials began conversations immediately after the July 16 fatal crash on Highway 365 that killed a Hall County deputy’s entire family. The driver of the Corvette that hit the car containing Avonlea Holtzclaw of Dahlonega and her two children was traveling more than 150 mph near Mt.

It’s that time of year for the 26th Dillard Bluegrass Festival and it comes to Dillard Friday, Aug. 4, and Saturday, Aug. 5, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Dillard City Hall Fairgrounds, 892 Franklin Street, Dillard.

Passport Day at the Rabun County Library

Passport Acceptance Agent, Holly E. Henry-Perry will be available at the Rabun County Public Library, Saturday, Aug. 12, from 10 a.m. to noon to accept all new and renewal passport applications. Application forms will be available on site.

Korean War: 70th anniversary of Korean Armistice

Today, July 27, 2023, is the 70th anniversary of Korean Armistice and is National Korean War Veterans Armistice Day. On July 27, 1953, North Korea and South Korea signed the Korean Armistice Agreement.

Class of 2027 honored at RGNS Moving Up
