Stephens steps down from BOE for health reasons

Twenty-six-year Rabun County Board of Education member Wayne Stephens has resigned from his seat on the BOE because of health reasons. The BOE approved the appointment of Allyn Stockton to fill the vacated seat. The remaining time left on the term for Stephens runs through the end of 2024.

Mountain Ivy Garden Club awards 2023 scholarship

The Mountain Ivy Garden Club is pleased to announce that the recipient of its annual scholarship this year is Ethan Mazarky, a graduating senior at Rabun County High School.

Taste of Rabun successful at the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia

Taste of Rabun at the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia took place Sunday, June 11, and the event was a great success for local chefs and community members. Guests had the opportunity to eat food made by culinary experts such as Chef Gayle & David Darugh; Chef Inger Smith; and Chef Dave.

The Rabun County Democrats hosted 244 enthusiastic supporters at the 5th Annual Blue BBQ Fundraiser, held at the Clayton pavilions on June 10.
