The Rabun County Board of Commissioners unanimously passed the FY 2022 millage rate of 9.928 at a special called meeting on Aug. 18 that followed the third public hearing where community members got a chance to speak about the increase. The rate is an 11.

Youth complete Rocket Challenge

Five cadets from our local Civil Air Patrol squadron competed in an intense Rocket challenge last weekend with other cadets from North Georgia. After studying the history of rockets and how they work, they each built and launched five different kinds of rockets.
