Rabun EMS thanks donors to ‘PROJECT LIFE LYFT 626’

Thanks to dozens of donors, Rabun County EMS has a new tool to prevent back injuries and provide safer levels of care to patients. The Stryker Power Load System is automated hydraulic lifting equipment that lifts patients who are on stretchers into and out of ambulances.

DILLARD– Dillard Chief of Police Kenneth Watts said he looks forward to continuing to build relationships with community members and business owners in Dillard in his new role as chief. Dillard City Council members voted unanimously Sept. 13 to approve Watts as police chief “effective immediately.

CLAYTON– New life has been given to the Old Clayton Inn on Main Street in downtown Clayton as the Bridge Creek Inn held its groundbreaking on Sept. 21. The owners of the Bridge Creek Inn are Peter Evers, Tyler Caswell and Mat Barnwell of Ridgeline Investment Partners.

Tiger hosts Corn Festival & BBQ

The Town of Tiger was bustling with excitement this past weekend as community members showed out for the Inaugural Tiger Corn Festival and annual Station 12 volunteer fire station BBQ event Saturday, Sept. 24.
