J. Robert (Bob) Nelson

J. Robert Nelson (Bob), 90, of Tiger, Ga. died on January 3, 2021.  He was born January 2, 1931 in Jamestown, N.Y. He was the son of the late Holgen and Esther Nelson.  Bob is survived by his wife, Mary; daughter, Cheryl Stamp (Russ) of Port Townsend, Wa.; son J. Randall Nelson of Asheville, N.Y.

Margaret Ann “Cindy” Simmons

Margaret Ann “Cindy” Simmons, age 77, of Tiger, Ga. went to her heavenly home January 2, 2021. Cindy was born in Persimmon community, the daughter of the late Lawrence Blalock and the late Estele Flynn Blalock. She graduated from Brenau University with a degree in nursing.

Mary Laura Lenora Thompson Crane

Mary Laura Lenora Thompson Crane, lovingly known as “Tootsie”, age 95, of Clayton, went to her heavenly home January 2, 2021. She was born in the Persimmon community, the daughter of the late Hettie Thompson and the late Ralph Thompson. She was the oldest member of Persimmon Baptist Church.

Claudia Rogers James Nelson

Claudia Rogers James Nelson departed for her heavenly home, on January 1, 2021, at the age of 90.   She was born August 11, 1930 in Highlands, N.C. to Claude Rogers and Edith Calhoun Rogers.  She is survived by two siblings, Larry Rogers of Highlands, N.C. and Linda Williams of Anchorage, Ak.

Alvin Clinton Bradshaw

Alvin Clinton Bradshaw, age 82, of Clayton, Ga., passed away on December 31, 2020. Alvin was born the son of the late Joseph Clinton Bradshaw and the late Corrie Eller Bradshaw on July 14, 1938. In his professional life he worked in the textile industry.

Sam King

Sam King, 73, of Tiger, Ga. passed away on December 29, 2020. He was born in Atlanta, Ga. on April 20, 1947. Sam attended Northside High School and just before his senior year, climbed the Matterhorn in Zermatt, Switzerland – it was one of the highlights of his life.

Carol Barnes Frady

Carol Barnes Frady, age 84, of Clayton, Ga., had her home-going on December 30, 2020.   Carol was born the daughter of the late Albert Barnes and the late Bessie Dryman Barnes on January 15, 1936 in Scaly Mountain, North Carolina. In her professional life she worked for the Rabun County Government.

David Ralph Ogram

David Ralph Ogram, a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, died peacefully December 26, 2020, at home in Clayton, Ga. He was 79 years old.  David Ogram was born in Andover, Ohio on June 14, 1941, and graduated from University of Florida, College of Architecture in 1970.

Edward “Scott” Coleman

Edward “Scott” Coleman sadly passed away at his home on Dec. 10, 2020, in Weaverville, N.C. He was born Dec. 5, 1960. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Roger and Jeanette Coleman.

Philip Raymond Kempin

Philip Raymond Kempin, age 84, of Tiger, Ga., passed away on December 31, 2020. Philip was born November 27, 1936, to Mildred and Ray Kempin. In 1958, he graduated Monmouth College with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. He was a member of Theta XChi fraternity.
